Two sites, one movement: a rebuilt home base and a campaign launched on deadline
Alianza Coachella Valley got a modern multilingual main site centered on youth leadership, plus a campaign microsite for Thriving Salton Sea Communities, delivered before the public launch.

The story
The Challenge
Alianza had outgrown its website. The organization wanted a modern, user-friendly presence that put youth leadership and community engagement at the center, and it needed it in the languages its communities actually speak, including Spanish and Indigenous languages of the region. At the same time, a major new campaign, Thriving Salton Sea Communities, needed its own site fast: launch was set, and the website had to be live before the public announcement.
Our Approach
We ran two builds in parallel, matched to each need. The main site went through our full custom process: a logo refresh, UX personas, custom templates, an events calendar, a Bonterra-skinned donation experience, SEO copywriting, and a multilingual content system covering Spanish and regional Indigenous languages. The campaign site took the opposite path on purpose: a streamlined, SEO-optimized build engineered for speed, with clear benchmarks and deadlines so it would be live before the campaign went public. It was.
Why It Worked
Advocacy runs on timing. Choosing the right process for each site — deep and custom for the long-term home, fast and focused for the campaign — meant neither had to compromise, and the movement never had to wait on its website.
The Results
The Thriving Salton Sea Communities site launched on time, ahead of the public campaign announcement
A main site that meets Coachella Valley residents in their own languages
Youth leadership and community engagement moved to the center of the story
Accessible design throughout — a deliberate priority, not a checkbox

Built to be joined.
The main site pairs an events calendar with a Bonterra-integrated donation experience, so residents can find the movement’s next action and fund it in the same visit, in the languages the eastern Coachella Valley actually speaks.
“The communication was so seamless and effective that we felt really well taken care of.”
